Wooden children’s toys are recognizable traditional products of Hrvatsko Zagorje with a long history and are listed on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. Trakošćan Castle located on top of a hill – a castle from the thirteenth century, restored in neo-Gothic style.
Seventy kilometers northeast of Zagreb, is Varaždin – once the capital of Croatia, which is also the best preserved city from the time of the Habsburg dynasty. The whole city is a typical example of Baroque architecture, and therefore Varaždin is called the city of Baroque.
Pick up at 8 o’clock. Drive to Varaždin. Upon arrival in Varaždin, we will glance the famous cemetery and old town, we will go see City Museum. On our drive to Trakošćan we will visit a local family for lunch to get a maximum local experience. Our sightseeing of the castle with expert guidance and after we take you to see Krapina famous NEANDERTHALS museum, that represent a magical and mystical idea of the prehistoric people of Europe. They are one of the many secrets of the beginning of our species. Sugar in the end, before heading back to your hotel we will take you for a desert in a city of Samobor – you will try famous Kremšnita.
